The Protection Controls ACF relay is a plug-in component of the Protectofier Flame Safety Burner Management System used to ensure proper and safe operation of industrial burners. It can function as a check relay, flame relay, or load relay within this system. Failure to prove a safe-start check will prevent ignition and the energizing of the fuel valves, thus ensuring safe operation. Flame Relay: Responds to the FLAME-PAK operation by energizing the circuit to the fuel valve once a flame is detected, proving the burner is lit. Load Relay: Used in multi-burner units to energize fuel valves only after all flames are proven. If any single burner loses its flame signal, the load relay de-energizes all fuel valves, preventing the accumulation of uncombusted gas. NR Relay (Non-Return): Provides a non-return of ignition after a flame failure, requiring a manual reset of the thermal circuit breaker for safety.
